According to foreign media reports, South Korea’s third-largest steel manufacturer Dongkuk Steel (Dongkuk Steel) has released its “2030 Vision” plan. It is understood that the company plans to expand the annual production capacity of color-coated sheets to 1 million tons by 2030 (the current capacity is 850,000 tons/year), and its operating income will increase to 2 trillion won (about 1.7 billion US dollars).
It is understood that in order to realize this plan, Dongkuk Steel plans to increase the number of its overseas factories from the current three to eight by 2030, and enter the United States, Poland, Vietnam and Australia and other markets.
In addition, Dongkoku Steel stated that it will promote the green upgrade of the company’s color-coated plate production process by introducing the ECCL (Ecological Color Coating) process.
