To avoid the likelihood of wet storage stain developing, please follow the instructions :
.Don’t stack newly galvanized articles on top of each other, and don’t store them too close together
.Store inside if possible, off the ground and at an incline
.Ensure there is plenty of free-flowing air in the storage area
.Remove plastic wrap or temporary packaging from galvanized products once they have been transported, as packaging can hold or retain moisture on the inside.
.Wet storage staining on a galvanized surface can be cleaned, however, the process is slightly different depending on the severity of the stain. Unless cleaning is required for aesthetic reasons, mild and moderate wet storage staining can be exposed to normal airflow and left to weather. This will allow the stain to convert to a protective zinc carbonate patina. If a stained surface is cleaned the development of the patina will start again but, it will restore any initial bright, shiny finish.
